About MoveTogether™

MoveTogether™ is a free, weekly family dance session for people of all ages — babies, children, parents, grandparents, all welcome in the same room at the same time. Led by a professional TeesDance dance artist, sessions are warm, welcoming and completely non-pressured.

Expect guided movement, games, music and moments of pure fun — all designed so that everyone in the room, whatever their age, can join in and enjoy themselves. No choreography to learn, no performance pressure, no judgement. Just an hour that belongs to your whole family.

No experience needed. No booking. No cost. Just come along.

FAQs

  • Yes, completely free. MoveTogether is funded by Sport England's Movement Fund so there's no charge for families, ever.

  • No booking needed — just turn up! If you'd like to let us know you're coming so we can keep an eye out for you, you can get in touch, but it's not required.

  • Comfortable clothes you can move in. Trainers or bare feet work well. There's no uniform or special kit needed.

  • Absolutely — in fact, babies and toddlers are especially welcome. The sessions are designed for all ages including very young children.

  • We'd love you to! The sessions work best when everyone joins in together — but there's no pressure. Come as you are and see how you feel.

  • Yes. Our sessions are inclusive by design. If you'd like to talk through anything in advance, please get in touch and we'll make sure you feel confident before you arrive.

  • Sessions run for approximately one hour. You're welcome to leave early if you need to — no problem at all.
