On Saturday 17 October, more than 300 people took to the Riverside pitch to celebrate 150 years of Middlesbrough Football Club. Aged six to 79 and from all five Tees Valley boroughs, they danced in front of 28,991 fans before Middlesbrough v Cardiff City.

A once-in-a-life time celebration.
Middlesbrough Football Club turned 150 in 2026. To mark it, the club asked TeesDance to put the people of the Tees Valley on the pitch.
More than 300 dancers from across the Tees Valley
Aged 6 to 79, they came from primary and secondary schools, colleges, youth groups, dance schools and community groups in Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar and Cleveland, Hartlepool and Darlington. Many wouldn't call themselves dancers. For most, it was the biggest crowd they'd ever performed for.

Original choreography by four Tees Valley-based dance artists. Original music by lifelong Boro fan Tom Powell, created with musicians, singers and communities through Tees Valley Music Service.
It was the biggest project in TeesDance's history. And it happened at home.
