TeesDance runs free, inclusive dance programmes across all five Tees Valley boroughs — Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool, Darlington, and Redcar and Cleveland. Whether you're a baby taking your first wobbly steps, an older adult who's never danced in your life, or a young person ready to take dance seriously — there's a programme for you!

TeesDance builds pathways, not just sessions. Our community programmes are the starting point - but for people who want to go further, we've got routes that lead to performing, choreographing and developing as an artist.

Serious dance for young people who mean it.
A proper contemporary dance company for 11–19 year olds - create original work, rehearse with professional artists, and perform in real venues. We've already been to Sadler's Wells. This is the real thing.

This August, TeesDance is running a summer school for young people aged 8–16.
Three days of creativemovement, new friendships, and great dancing - open to all levels. No experience needed. Just show up ready to move.

Our flagship progression programme for young people is coming to Darlington Hippodrome in 2027/28, made possible by Creative Darlington. MoveUP gives young people access to world-class dance training, real stage experience and a clear path forward.

Trauma-informed, care-led dance with young people experiencing care, homelessness, mental health challenges and exclusion - delivered through trusted youth organisations across the Tees Valley. For referral partners and commissioners.
