The response has been incredible. Here's where we are.

Two weeks ago we announced TeesDance × MFC 150. And honestly? The response has blown us away.

Sign-ups have been coming in from across the Tees Valley - individuals, dance schools, youth groups and community organisations all getting in touch to find out how to be part of it. If you haven't signed up yet, the link is at the bottom of this post.

Here's a quick update on where things stand:

The participants. We're working with a brilliant mix of groups — youth dance companies, primary schools, secondary schools, colleges, community groups and individual dancers. All ages. All backgrounds. All from the Tees Valley.

The music. Done. And it's extraordinary. We've been in the studio with composer Tom Powell from Tees Valley Music Service and what he’s created is something genuinely special.

The choreography. Our lead artists — Jenny Chrisp and Hannah from York Dance Space, and Zac from Ruff Diamond on the finale — are already deep in the creative process. Workshops and rehearsals start in July.

The date. The fixtures for the 2026-27 season haven't been released yet — that happens later in June/July — so we can't give you the exact match date just yet. What we can tell you is: it's October. It's at the Riverside. And it's going to be something you'll want to be at.

If you want to be part of it — whether as an individual dancer, a school, a dance school or a community group here’s how you get involved:
