We're doing something extraordinary. And we can finally tell you.

Today is a big day for TeesDance. And it happens to be a pretty big day for Middlesbrough too.

We've been sitting on some news for a while now. Months of conversations, planning, and quietly getting everything in place - and today, finally, we get to share it.

TeesDance has been partnered with Middlesbrough Football Club to create a large-scale mass participation dance performance on the pitch at the Riverside Stadium, as part of MFC's 150th anniversary celebrations.

This October, hundreds of dancers from across the Tees Valley - young people from youth groups, primary schools and dance schools, alongside older adults and community groups - will perform on the Riverside pitch, opening a home game in front of a packed stadium.

Original choreography. Original music. Made right here, by people from right here.

We chose today to announce it because it felt right. Middlesbrough Football Club's 150th year is already one for the history books — and we're proud to be part of that story.

Dance belongs here. It always has.

More details — including how to get involved — coming very soon. Watch this space. 💙
